Attempted Theft Over Shoes

Officers responded to a residence on Fourth St. for a report of an assault between juveniles.  Upon their arrival they contacted the victim who was identified as a male juvenile.  He stated that he was assaulted by three juvenile subjects in an alley off of Grand Ave.  He stated that it started when one of the juveniles threw him up against a fence and began to punch him.  During this time the suspect told the victim to give him his shoes and attempted to take them from him.  The other two juveniles then began to assault the victim at the same time as the first one.  The victim was able to get free and run.  All three of the juveniles began to chase him.  They caught him and all three began to assault him again.  He was able to get free again and made it home without the juveniles getting his shoes.  There was no injuries report by the victim.  Officers located two of the suspects a short time later at which time they denied being in a fight they stated they were just arguing.  They were brought to the station where they were charged and processed.  Department of Juvenile Services was contacted and advised to release the juveniles to their family.  Charges on the third juvenile were filed through the Department of Juvenile Services.  The juveniles are being charged with Attempted Robbery, Attempted Theft Under $100, 2nd Degree Assault, Affray, Disorderly Conduct.
