Going through requested waivers for the state’s minority hire process by at least two companies has delayed the Allegany County Board of Education’s awarding of a bid to demolish the former Sacred Heart Hospital building. The bid was to be awarded last month, but two companies’ requests have slowed that process- and this could delay that aspect of the new Allegany High School project by at least a month.
