Baltimore Man Sentenced For Drug Crimes In Circuit Court

The Office of the State’s Attorney for Allegany County, Michael O. Twigg, State’s Attorney, announced Wednesday, June 22, 2016, that Montrell L. Bellamy, age 39, of Baltimore, Maryland plead guilty to Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute. Bellamy was then sentenced by the Honorable Judge Jeffrey S. Getty (Circuit Court for Allegany County, Maryland) to 12 years actual incarceration in the Division of Corrections.  The matter was the result of a 2015 traffic stop on I68, wherein Troopers of the Maryland State Police conducted a search of the vehicle finding a substantial amount of cocaine hidden in the door compartment of the vehicle.

 

.  Prosecuting the case for the State was Assistant State’s Attorney Samuel Lane.  Mr. Bellamy was represented by Stephen R. Tully, Esquire.
