Baltimore Radio Mainstay Tom Marr Has Died

July 7th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Tom Marr, the veteran Baltimore radio talk show host, has died. He was 73. Marr died of complications related to a stroke he suffered last week, according to a brief statement from WCBM, the station where he has worked since 1988. Marr worked on Baltimore Orioles broadcasts from 1979 to 1986 for WFBR. When the broadcasts moved to WBAL, Marr left too, eventually hosting his conservative-leaning talk show on WCBM for nearly three decades, with the exception of a brief stay at a station of Philadelphia. This week, the station announced Marr would be off the air indefinitely due to the July 3 stroke, which was a complication of a recent surgery on his spine. Marr was a frequent guest host for Mark Levin, a program that airs Monday through Friday nights on WCBC.
