Baltimore Street Bridge Traffic To Be Reduced For Data Collection

May 18th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The City of Cumberland Engineering Department would like to notify the public that the Baltimore Street Bridge will be reduced to a single lane at intermittent times during the next two weeks to allow a contractor to collect field data related to the future replacement of the structure. Activities will occur between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm during the following days:

Wednesday, 5/20/20, through Thursday, 5/21/20

Tuesday, 5/26/20, through Wednesday, 5/27/20

During this time, parking on the bridge will be prohibited. "No Parking" signs will be posted on the bridge, prior to activities beginning. Each end of the bridge will be flagged to route vehicles around the contractor’s equipment. Traffic will be restored to two lanes at the conclusion of each day.

Thank you for your cooperation during this time. Please use caution in the area and follow all traffic control devices that will be in place. If there are any questions, please contact the City of Cumberland Engineering Department 301-759-6600.
