The Allegany County Sheriff's office investigating a holdup that occured this morning at the Susquehanna Bank at 936 National Highway in Lavale. Maryland State Police assisting in the investigation. The suspect was described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall with brown hair. He possibly had a beard, was wearing a black wide-brimmed hat and was reportedly armed with a gun. Police were told that he could also be stained with red dye from the money bag. As a result, Cash Valley and Parkside Elementary Schools have been placed in lock-in. Both schools will dismiss on time.
