Bel Air Duplex fire injures three

Two families have been left homeless and a total of three people were injured early Sunday morning when a fire broke out at a Bel Air duplex. 17 fire units and 3 ambulances responded to the blaze at 14317 Old Lake Drive SW in Bel Air just after 1 a.m.  Three people, two residents and one fireman, were transported from the scene. All three have since been released. Utility companies were notified and the families are being assisted by the Red Cross. The Allegany County Sheriff's Department responded and the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
