The House Enviromental Matters Committee of the Maryland General Assembly struck down a bill that would have allowed the raising of the speed limit on Interstate 68 to 70 mph by a vote of 22 – 0.
There is however a piece of legislation still alive in the senate that would allow the raising of the speed limit of any state highways to 70mph…
