Bittinger Comments on Lawsuit’s Effect on Budget

In an effort to correct false or misleading information that has been circulating in the community during this election year- Allegany County Board of Education President Sara Beth Bittinger this week discussed the financial impact one candidate’s lawsuit is having on the school board budget- and the burden it creates for the taxpayers. Less than two weeks remain before the November election- and Robert Farrell remains involved in a legal action against the school board in federal court.  Farrell and his wife Lorelee, both former employees of the school system, had filed wrongful termination lawsuits against the school board and Superintendent Dr. David Cox in 2016.  While Mrs. Farrell passed away earlier this year, Robert’s lawsuit is still active.
