Bittinger Joins WCBC to Discuss Comments on Lawsuit

At this week’s public meeting of the Allegany County Board of Education, board President Sara Beth Bittinger noted that an ongoing lawsuit by a candidate has cost the school system $75,000.  Candidate Robert Farrell remains involved in a legal action against the school board and Superintendent David Cox claiming wrongful termination. Mrs. Bittinger was invited to discuss the situation on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” Wednesday and noted that with what the lawsuit has cost the board, it theoretically could have paid for another teacher. When she was asked if the board would blame the superintendent for the $75,000 loss if Farrell prevails- the discussion became heated…
