Wild and Wonderful Fun at Blackrock will kick off this weekend with a series of track and field events available at the mountaintop recreational site. This is the second year of monthly healthy lifestyle events to be hosted at the rugged location on Green Mountain by Blackrock developer John Lecky and the Mineral County Sports Commission. Among those ongoing offerings are: the rock wall climb, rock obstacle slalom, over-and-under hurdles, the log roll and toss, caber toss, uphill race course, meadow group games, round bale obstacle, corn hold toss, volleyball and badminton, among others. The event is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the raindate is Sunday, June 12. Blackrock is located off Pinnacle Road, with the entrance marked by double red gates.
