With 14 elementary schools in the system and six of those in Cumberland- the Allegany County Board of Education will soon appoint a blue ribbon commission to tackle the issue of school redistricting. While currently there isn’t one elementary school that could absorb the student population of another- there can be boundaries redrawn and some consolidation if necessary.
