It was a good news/bad news budget update for the Allegany County Board of Education on Tuesday. Finance Director Randy Bittinger informed the board members that the state of Maryland came through with an additional $830,000 for the local system- however the Allegany County Commissioners are poised to provide about a million dollars less than the board had requested.
