Board of Education Utilizing Local Labor for New School

As was the case in 2005 with planned construction of Mountain Ridge High School- the Allegany County Board of Education has again adopted a resolution which makes it more likely that local labor will be utilized as much as possible for the upcoming construction of a new Allegany High School.  The board voted unanimously to adopt the resolution during the December business meeting. Facilities Director Vince Montana said that while there are state guidelines in place when it comes to awarding bids for any school capital projects- there is some room to maneuver…
