BoE Discusses Fiscal Impact Of Board Members Lawsuit At Second Consecutive Meeting

In a somewhat unusual move, the Allegany County Board of Education during its last two public meetings has chosen to discuss the fiscal impact a specific lawsuit is having on the board’s budget. That lawsuit is the one filed against the board by board member Loralee Farrell and her husband claiming wrongful termination. There has been some suggestion that certain board members are opting to discuss the negative financial impact the lawsuit is having on the system in an effort to reflect poorly on Mrs. Farrell. Board President Laurie Marchini tells WCBC News that is not the case.
