BOE May Not Get Budget Increase

The Allegany County Commissioners appear ready to level funding for the Board of Education- and not allocate the requested additional $500,000. The state’s current budget has county governments scrambling to deal with significant cuts in state aid- and the school board is now looking at having to reduce the superintendent’s proposed budget by another million dollars.
