The Allegany County Board of Education has received notification from the Public School Construction Program (PSCP) that the Maryland Board of Public Works (BPW) has approved, for partial funding, the new Allegany High School. The project was one of many from around the state recommended by the Interagency Committee on School Construction (IAC). Also included in these recommendations was partial funding for the roof replacement project at Westmar Middle School and total funding for fifteen lighting retrofit projects.
