Breaking & Entering at George’s Creek Elementary School

On Tuesday morning, 05/28/2013, at approximately 5:40 AM, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported breaking and entering which occurred at George’s Creek Elementary School in Lonaconing. Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) also responded to assist with the investigation.

Investigation determined that the suspect pried an outside door to gain entry to the building. Once inside, the suspect removed two laptop computers and several medicinal EpiPens. School personnel are conducting an inventory of the school to determine if any other items may have been taken.

Video surveillance showed that the suspect entered the school at approximately 9:25 PM on Monday evening and remained in the building for an extended period of time. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded jacket, black pants, sandals with white socks, and purple colored rubber gloves. He was also wearing a toboggan and a bandana over his face to hide his identity.

The crime scene was processed by an Evidence Collection Technician with the Maryland State Police Forensic Science Division.

The investigation is continuing by C3I.
