Bus driver charged in Garrett crash

The driver of a school bus that reportedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of Aiken Miller Road and Brethren Church Road on Friday has been charged with causing a collision that injured two people, Maryland State Police said. The Cumberland Times News reports Robin Sines, 55, had dropped off students at Northern High School prior to 8:22 a.m. crash.

 

The bus struck a Freightliner box truck operated by Earl Pryor, 48, of LaVale. The truck rolled onto its side and Pryor was trapped in the vehicle, police said.

Sines was transported to Garrett Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. Pryor was taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
