Allegany County Administrator Brandon Butler joined WCBC's “Dave Norman Program” Tuesday morning to discuss Governor Larry Hogan's Stay at Home Order. That order, which went into effect Monday at 8 p.m., states that Marylanders will only be able to leave their home for essential work or an essential purpose such as buying food, picking up a prescription or seeking medical care. While there have been cases locally of people hoarding food and other household items- Butler said that is unnecessary as food providers are obviously considered essential- and are remaining opened to the public at this time…
Meanwhile, almost immediately following the governor’s announcement Monday, Allegany County’s 9-1-1 call center was inundated by non emergency calls with people asking questions and seeking clarification. Todd Bowman is the department’s public informational officer says a specific Coronavirus hotline number has been established…
