C3I Investigating Stabbing on Route 40

On Saturday at approximately 4:26AM, Cumberland City Police officers were called to respond to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for victims who had been stabbed. As a result, investigators from the Allegany County C3I responded to the hospital to assist with the investigation. It was learned that the victims were at an establishment in Cumberland and while traveling in a vehicle on Route 40 in the LaVale, MD area, an altercation occurred which caused the vehicle to pull over.  It is believed that the victims in this case sustained their injuries as the altercation continued alongside Route 40. Maryland State Police, LaVale Barrack also assisted in the investigation.
