A regular caller to WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” has routinely provided insight into areas of controversy in local government and most recently has taken the Allegany County Board of Education and Superintendent David Cox to task for the handling of the sexual misconduct case against a former Mountain Ridge teacher. The caller, who requires an electrolarynx to speak, has well placed sources within the system. He himself refers to remain anonymous. The issue at hand is the role and function of mandated reporters. Superintendent Cox told WCBC News when the situation involved the teacher first developed last year that internal investigations are conducted at first to determine if there is validity to the accusation before any outside agency is notified….
The caller said that is not the case…
