Canal Place Development Authority Facing Growing List Of Concerns

2014 begins in a state of flux for the Canal Place Development Authority with fiscal concerns topping a growing list of concerns. In the past two months, the authority lost a board member and its chair when Andy Vick stepped down;  has requested an extension of county and city funding; and learned of a proposal from Delegate Kevin Kelly to abolish the authority.  Allegany County Commissioners President Mike McKay, a member of the authority, tells WCBC News that he is certain which direction will ultimately be taken, but it has become increasingly clear in recent years that the status quo hasn’t proven effective…
