Its two years before Marylander’s will go to the polls to select Governor Martin O’Malley’s successor- but there is no shortage of candidates. Among those rumored, or already indicating they will seek the office in 2014 are Attorney General Doug Gansler; Howard County Executive Ken Ulman; Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown; Comptroller Peter Franchot and Frederick County Commissioners President Blaine Young. The field is expected to get much more crowded in the coming year. Franchot, a democrat, has often times been an outspoken critic of his party- and in particular Governor O’Malley. He said the administration’s record with the private sector is atrocious…
