According to the Allegany County Emergency Dispatch, a motor vehicle accident occurred on Rt. 220 at the intersection in front of the Food Lion shopping center earlier this morning. Emergency crews and the Maryland State Police responded to the scene. There was one person transported to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for injuries. The roadway has been cleared and traffic is currently moving.
There has been a motor vehicle accident reported on I-68 eastbound on Haystack Mountain prior to exit 42. According to the Allegany County Emergency Dispatch, it is a single vehicle involved that is currently on fire. WCBC News is currently monitoring the situation and will have details as they become available.
And just before noon reports of a motor vehicle with injuries on Interstate 68 West at exit 53 near Frostburg.
