Carder Held Without Bond

On 01/23/2019 a female Cumberland resident walked into the Cumberland Police Department to report a domestic assault. The 30 year old victim reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her on several occasions, resulting in serious injuries. The Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) was contacted to assist in the investigation into the allegations. An interview of the victim revealed that there were witnesses to the assaults, photographic evidence, and medical treatment records of the injuries the victim incurred that corroborated her account of the incidents. As a result, Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for 21 year old Kyle Lucas Carder, charging him with multiple counts of 1st Degree Assault and 2nd Degree Assault. Carder was arrested on 01/29/2019 and taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance. He is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center, pending his next court appearance.
