Cardin Challenger Supports Marcellus Shale Drilling

Republican Dan Bongino, 36, a former Secret Service agent and entrepreneur, is challenging for the U.S. Senate Seat in Maryland held by Ben Cardin. Cardin, a democrat in his first term, announced his plans to seek re-election last month. Bongino- recently endorsed by Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh, R-Illinois, and Harford County Executive David R. Craig- tells WCBC News that one of the points of frustration that led him to enter the race is how the Marcellus Shale issue is being handled. Bongino, who has been embraced by many of the so-called Tea Party republicans, tells WCBC News that under the watch of Senator Cardin and Governor Martin O’Malley- western Maryland is missing a tremendous economic opportunity by delaying drilling…
