United States Senator Ben Cardin met with Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland earlier this week. The Maryland Democrat says it’s necessary for the Senate to fulfill its constitutional responsibility to consider the nomination through a fair hearing and thoughtful floor debate. Calling Garland an “eminently qualified pick”, Cardin chided republicans for playing politics with the appointment and thus far refusing to even hold hearings…
