December 6th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

Maryland's five casinos generated $90.2 million in November, a 35 percent increase over the same month last year. State revenue totals released Friday show that revenues increased by $23.3 million last month compared to November last year. That's largely because of the opening of Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in August. Without the new casino's figures, November revenue at the state's casinos was comparable to last November. The Maryland Live! casino in Hanover generated the most revenue last month, at about $53.8 million. That's a .7 percent increase over the casino's revenues from last November. Baltimore's casino generated about $23.4 million in November, though it has yet to reach the amounts projected by state consultants. Revenue at Hollywood Casino Perryville, about 34 miles north of Baltimore, dropped about 7 percent
