The Allegany County Fair & Ag Expo has issued an advisory concerning this evening's Casting Crowns concert.

Casting Crowns reserved seating is sold out, but General Admission is still available.

The Allegany County Fair & Ag Expo is expecting a large crowd for this concert, so plan to arrive early.

Traffic into and out of the fair is single lane–delays are possible.

Allegany County Emergency Services issued the following statement:

Allegany County Fair & Ag Expo officials reported a record number of sales to the Casting Crowns show tonight and want citizens to allow extra time getting into the fairgrounds.

“Citizens attending tonight’s performance should allow extra time getting into the venue on Moss Avenue at the fairgrounds located between Bowling Green and Cresaptown,” Allegany County Department of Emergency Services Emergency Management Chief Steve Shipley said. “Traffic in and out will be single lane and with large crowds expected, traffic delays should be anticipated.”

Fair officials report that reserved seating is sold out for the 8 p.m. performance, but general admission is still available.

“We encourage attendees to arrive early to park and get inside the gates,” Shipley said. “If you are traveling in the areas of McMullen Highway and/or Moss Avenue please use caution as people will be walking to and from their vehicles.”

Drivers not attending the event, but traveling in the area should also expect delays and should remain vigilant for stopping vehicles, turning vehicles and civilians, added Shipley.
