The Cumberland City Police Department will be retaining the services of a volunteer nurse practitioner for the Cumberland Emergency Response Team. The CERT team consists of 10 highly-skilled and motivated officers of the Cumberland Police Department. CERT volunteers assist others in their community following a disaster when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT volunteers are also encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking an active role in emergency preparedness projects.
