July 23rd, 2015 by WCBC Radio

A week ago today, officials with Allegany County Animal Control raided a residence at 617 Maryland Avenue and rescued 35 dogs from what they allege to be a puppy mill. Since that time, formal charged have yet to be filed in the case. Land records indicate that 617 Maryland Avenue is owned as a principal residence by Pepper Taylor, who acquired the house a little over two years ago for a price of $8500. Again, to date, no charges have been filed in the case, which has been under review by the Allegany County State’s Attorney’s Office.
