Child Abuse Arrest Made

On Friday at approximately 12:55 p.m., an Off Duty City Police Officer observed an adult grab a small child by the arm and throw the child to the ground in the 200 block of Fayette Street.  A patrolling officer responded and made contact with the adult and the child.  Jeremy Allen Yetter, 26, was placed under arrest for child abuse second degree and second degree assault and upon searching his person the officer located a smoking device which contained burnt marijuana residue in his pants pocket.  Yetter is currently held at the Allegany County Detention Center of $15,000.00.  Child Protective Services was contacted and advised of the incident.

    I hope that he gets the book thrown at him for hurting that baby. I don’t care if the child was baby or 17, he still has no right to lay his hands on a child that way.
