Child In Stable Condition

A one-year old child accidentally impaled by a pair of hurled scissors was listed in stable condition Thursday at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. The child was being held by his mother while visiting at the Pine Wood Apartments in Short Gap early Wednesday evening when two occupants of the apartment began arguing, according to MineralCounty SheriffJeremy Taylor.

Following initial treatment at the Western Maryland Regional MedicalCenter, the child was transferred to Ruby Memorial where he underwent surgery.
