The Maryland State Police, Cumberland barrack, assisted by Cumberland Police Department and The Family Junction, will hold a child safety seat check today (Friday) from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Country Club Mall/Chick-fil-A entrance. Residents who want to participate should bring their child or children along with their safety seats to that location for inspectors to look over the seat and possible fix problems or answer any questions. Melanie McDonald, executive director of the Family Junction, says that while most people use car seats for their kids- seven out of ten child seats are installed incorrectly….
