Haddon Avenue residents Eric and Janice Johnson have donated this year’s Cumberland Christmas Tree which was erected Wednesday on the downtown mall. The tree is a Norway spruce 25 to 30 feet tall. In recent years, trees have been donated from White Avenue and Bishop Walsh Drive. The lighting ceremony hosted by Mayor Brian Grim and the city council will take place at 7 p.m. on Nov. 27, a Friday. Entertainment will begin an hour earlier and includes performances by Fusion YMCA Dance Crew, Mountain City Center for the Arts and Front & Centre Stage Productions.
