City Approves Grant Projects

The city of Cumberland recently approved an application for $601,000 in grant projects to be obtained from nearly $6 million made available under Maryland’s 2015 Community Legacy Program. That  announcement was made at the regular meeting of the mayor and City Council. Kathy McKenny, historic planning coordinator for the city, gave a presentation on the grant application. Community Legacy funding is designed to assist Maryland’s towns and cities in their revitalization efforts through the funding of capital improvements projects.
