City Employees Disciplined In Water Theft Case

WCBC News has learned the two Cumberland city employees charged with the theft of water and tampering with metering equipment will be returning to work after serving an administrative suspension of up to 10 days for the offense.  

44- year old Gregory Scott Shadwell and 51-year old James Paul Friend will still face criminal charges on October 20th in Allegany County District Court.  The pair has been suspended, with pay, during the five weeks since the arrests.

Mayor Brian Grim would not confirm or deny the story.
