City man assaults officer

On Friday, the Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Jonathan David Radcliffe.    An officer on patrol observed Radcliffe in the area of Park Street and when he attempted to serve the open warrant, Radcliff tried to flee on foot.  After a brief struggle with the officer, Radcliffe was placed under arrested and transported to the Cumberland City Police Station.  He was then taken before the District Court Commissioner who remanded him to the Allegany County Detention Center on a combined bond of $7,500.  The officer was not injured. 

 

Jonathan David Radcliffe, age: 46, Cumberland, Maryland

Charges:  FTA, 2nd degree assault, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, possession not marihuana (2 counts), possession of marihuana, resisting arrest.

Held on $7,500 bond.
