City Man Charged With Theft Of Tools

On August 5, 2017 Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Christopher Matthew Drabic, age 29 of Cumberland, Maryland.  On August 4, 2017 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 700 Montgomery Avenue for a theft complaint.  During an investigation into the matter officers learned from the victim that while he was not at his residence several hundred dollars worth of tools were stolen.  As a result of the investigation, Mr. Drabic was developed as a suspect resulting in charges being filed at District Court.  Drabic was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner.  Drabic was released on his own personal recognizance.

Arrested: Christopher Matthew Drabic               Age: 29 of Cumberland, MD

Charges: Theft $1,000 to under $10,000.

 

On August 5, 2017 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Martin’s Market located at 739 Park Street for a shoplifting complaint.  Upon the officer’s arrival, contact was made with lost prevention.  Officers learned that a female customer was observed placing items inside her pants pockets before leaving the store.  The female was observed entering a passenger car leaving the area.  The lost prevention officer was able to supply officers with a description of the female and a registration to the car she was seen leaving the area in.  Officers located the vehicle and the female at 700 Lafayette Street, Apartment #1.  The female was identified as, Jessica Nicole Porter.  Porter admitted to stealing the items from Martin’s.  Porter was issued a citation and released pending a trial date in District Court.
