City man facing burglary charges

September 30th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

Frank MacDonald was arrested on an Arrest Warrant Saturday.   The warrant stemmed from several incidents that occurred earlier in the day.  Officers were called to two different residences on Race Street.  The victims each stated Frank MacDonald broke into their residences.  They stated MacDonald destroyed property in one of the residences and  stole an electronic item from another residence.  MacDonald returned to the area a short time later and began to yell and cause a disturbance.  Officers were again called and tried to speak to MacDonald.  He continued to cause a disturbance.  Officers advised him he was under arrest and he fled the scene on foot.  A short foot chase ensued but Officers were not able to locate MacDonald.  In speaking to several witnesses it was learned that MacDonald had assaulted a female.

An Application for a Statement of Charges was filed with the District Court Commissioner and the Warrant was issued.  MacDonald was placed under arrest overnight and was processed at PH.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
