City Man Jailed Without Bond On Assault Charges

Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant early Sunday morning on Brandon Ketterman, age 20, of the city, on charges of 1st and 2nd Degree Assault.

The warrant was issued as a result of an assault investigation that occurred on August 31, 2016 at a residence in the 500 block of Bedford Street.

Investigation into this matter revealed that Ketterman assaulted the victim by punching and kicking him repeatedly in the face. The victim was transported to the Western Maryland Regional Center for treatment to his injuries.

Ketterman was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing. He was held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

 

On Saturday March 25, 2017, at 10:00 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Queen City Drive for a reported theft.

Investigation into this matter revealed that Holly Healy, age 26 of Cumberland, was observed taking store owned items and concealing them in her purse. A description was given by store personnel and as a result Healy was located in an alleyway by Centre Street.

She was placed in custody transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she was processed and served. Healy was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
