Although it is not issuing event permits at the present time, the City of Cumberland does have a new ordinance that will govern such gatherings.
Sandi Saville is the chair of the Downtown Development Commission, and says that the DDC will issue permits for groups under fifty, but those will be considered by the entire board…
The city’s permit fee will be used to help pay for additional police staffing, among other services, for larger events.
