Friday evening, Cumberland Police were called to a Goethe Street residence to investigate an assault complaint.
The alleged victim, who had visible injuries, said that she was assaulted by 26 year old Charles Robert Ballard Junior.
Ballard was found at the residence and placed under arrest for 2nd Degree Assault. He's free pending trial.
A Cumberland man is free pending trial after being arrested Friday afternoon for failure to comply with the terms of a peace order.
55 year old John William Wilson, Junior, was found to be engaged in an argument with a female at 305 Washington Street.
Wilson was taken to police headquarters, then before a District Court Commissioner.
A Cumberland woman who didn't show up for her trial on charges of driving without a license was picked Friday by City Police.
31 year old Courtney Elizabeth Miller was served with a bench warrant issued as a result of missing the court date.
She was taken before a District Court Commissioner and then released until a new court date.
