City Police Execute Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday November 1, 2016, Cumberland City Police served three arrest warrants on Karrie Edwards, age 44 of Cumberland, Maryland. The first warrant was issued as a result of an incident that Cumberland City Police investigation on October 13, 2016 at a business on Park Street.  Investigation into this revealed that Edwards was observed by surveillance cameras taking store owned items and leaving the premises without paying for them.  The second warrant was issued as a result of a Hit and Run investigation that occurred on September 25, 2016 on Race Street where Edwards was operating a motor vehicle and was observed colliding with a parked vehicle.  Edwards fled the area prior to police arrival.  The third warrant was issued as a result of Edwards failing to appear for trial as a result of a previous theft arrest.   Edwards was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing.  She was held on a total of $7,000.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
