On the early morning hours of April 6th, 2017 the Cumberland City Police were called to the Valley Tavern off Valley Street for a breaking and entering that occurred over night. When officers arrived, they learned that a small safe was taken that contained a sum of currency. A crime scene technician also responded and collected evidence that will be examined for the possible identification of the suspect.
