On February 5th, 2019, Cumberland City Police served a Fugitive from Justice Warrant on Dale Franklin England, of Cumberland MD. England was the operator of a motor vehicle which was stopped by City Police initially for a minor traffic offense. Through the course of the stop, it was discovered that England had an open Bench Warrant through Bedford County Pennsylvania for failing to appear on CDS charges. The warrant was also found to be extraditable. England was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters for processing. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond, pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
