City Police Make Criminal Summons Arrests

Criminal Summons Arrest:

On Wednesday, June 8, 2016 Cumberland Police Officers served a criminal summons on Dennis Dillon for a charge of second degree assault.  The summons stemmed from an incident that occurred at a Greene Street business on May 24, 2016.  The victim went to the business to pick up an item and was allegedly assaulted by Dillon.  Dillon was served with the criminal summons and was released pending trial in Allegany County District Court.

Arrested:

Dennis Dillon, age 53, Cumberland, MD

Charge: Second Degree Assault

 

Criminal Summons Arrest:

On Wednesday, June 8, 2016 Cumberland Police Officers served a criminal summons on Timothy Holtschneider for two counts of second degree assault.  The summons stemmed from an incident on May 23, 2016.  Holtschneider had been placed under arrest for separate charges.  While at Police Headquarters Holtschneider was being processed for that arrest.  After processing him, Holtschneider became argumentative and combative and assaulted two different Police Officers.  Holtschneider struck and kicked the Officers several times during the incident before he was placed under control again by the Officers.  An application for charges was filed on Holtschneider and a criminal summons was issued by the District Court Commissioner.  Holtschneider was served with the criminal summons and was released pending trial in Allegany County District Court.

Charges: two counts of Second Degree Assault
