On October 27th, 2019 officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to Mechanic Street business for reported trespassing complaint. Upon officers arrival they spoke with employees who stated that Robert Dale Clay would not leave the premises after being instructed to do so. Officers told Dale to leave the premises but he refused to do so. Dale was placed under arrest for trespassing and was released on a criminal citation pending trial.

Assault Arrest
On October 27th, 2019 officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to an Eastern Avenue address for a reported assault. Upon officers arrival they spoke with a female victim who stated that Skyler Stone Atkinson had grabbed her by the neck, shook her, and punched her in the face. Atkinson was placed under arrest at this time. During a search of Atkinson’s person a controlled dangerous substance was located. Atkinson was then charged with assault second degree and possession not marijuana. Atkinson was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center where he awaits his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

CDS Arrest
On October 28th, 2019 an officer of the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on West Bound Industrial Boulevard when they observed the vehicle to cross over the double yellow center line in the 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue several times. The officer made contact with the driver, Christopher Gregory Miller, and a passenger in the vehicle. A K-9 was requested and an Allegany County Sheriff’s Deputy responded. A positive alert was indicated by the K-9 and during a subsequent search of the vehicle Miller was discovered to be in possession of CDS paraphernalia. Miller was placed under arrest and charged with possession of paraphernalia and released on a criminal citation pending trial.
