City Police Makes Several Arrests Monday

On Monday September 23rd, 2019 Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Maryland Avenue address for a reported breaking and entering. Upon officers arrival they made contact with the victim provided a description of the suspect and stated that the suspect had attempted to kick in the back door of their residence, but fled the area. The suspect, Jason Dylan Roager, was located near a Park Street Business matching the description provided by the victim. The officers then obtained a positive identification of Roager by conducting a show up with the victim. Roager was then placed under arrest and charged with Burglary Fourth Degree, Disorderly Conduct, and Disturbing the Peace. Roager was remanded to the Allegany County Detention to await his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

Obstructing and Hindering / Possession of CDS Paraphernalia Arrest

On Monday September 23rd, 2019 Officers of the Cumberland Police Department were attempting to respond to a motor vehicle crash when Brion Thomas Jacobs walked in the middle of the roadway preventing the officer from proceeding to the motor vehicle crash. The officer attempted to have Jacobs move out of the roadway, but he refused to do so. The officer then instructed Jacobs to stop and Jacobs began to create a disturbance. Jacobs was placed under arrest and during a search of his person CDS paraphernalia was located. Jacobs was remanded to the Allegany County Detention to await his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

Arrest Warrants

 

On Monday September 23rd, 2019 Officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Daniel Ray Izat. The warrant was issued by District Court when he failed to appear for trial. Izat was remanded to the Allegany County Detention to await his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

On Monday September 23rd, 2019 Officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Katherine Ann Martin. The warrant was issued by District Court on September 13th, 2019 due to Martin being in non compliance for child support. Martin was remanded to the Allegany County Detention to await her initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
